Reasons why I LOVE McDonald’s

I know very well that it’s not healthy to be doing a weight-loss goal and be talking about McDonald’s…but I’m hoping if I document the reasons why I LOVE McD’s so much- perhaps in months when I have seriously decreased my filet-o-fish intake, I will look back and laugh at how ridiculous some of my reasons are/were:

1.  The Filet-O-Fish:
The Filet-O-Fish contains a battered fish patty made from”white fish” mostly Pollock or hoki. It must be properly cooked, not over-cooked!! It must also contain a half a slice of processed cheese (because a whole slice would just be too much!) and about an ounce of tarter sauce on a steamed hamburger bun.

There was a time when McDonald’s tried the “Deluxe” fish sandwich.  I would like to think I’m the reason why they dropped that.  I lead a one woman protest at every McDonald’s in between Northbrook, Illinois to East Lansing, Michigan during that experiment.  They put the sandwich on a potato bun and added a piece of lettuce.  I would simply make them take off the lettuce and put it on a hamburger bun…YOUR WELCOME!

2- The french fries. Need I say more?

3- The Big Mac- the perfect hamburger when you’re on the go!

4- The Shamrock Shake- minty ice cream goodness!

5- Chicken McNuggets- I think it’s all about the breading…no other fast-food place will do for me!

6- Diet Coke- When I used to drink Diet Coke (I gave it up a couple of months ago- along with all caffeine!) it was the best.  I don’t know why or how they do it.  I suspect it has something to do with the way they carbonate it.  It is delicious…

I could go on…but I’m starting to scare myself….I’ll just stop here.

I know, I know, I have a problem!!

  1. Congratulations on you drive for weight loss, but yes you do have a problem. McDonalds is not food, it is genuine imitation food product. There is food out there that tastes at least as bad a s McD’s that is good for you. Good news though, it is notlike you have to stop eating tasty food to start eating healthy food, you have to change the type of bad you enjoy. Much easier!
