Join the Electrolux Cook-off on Food52.com!

So I was invited to take part in this Influenster challenge about the Electrolux Cook-Of.

It sounds great to me and I thought perhaps you would be interested in joining – because it looks fun.

As you know, cooking has never really been my thing.  I actually don’t mind cooking, but totally hate my oven.  It’s an old one that has been in this house since we moved in and I have wanted it replaced many times.  But it still works – so my husband disagrees.  I find that it cooks unevenly.  When I’m baking, I routinely have to flip things around so they cook evenly.  Now I’m drooling over these Elextrolux cooktops and thinking that perhaps I could actually be a real cook if perhaps I just had the right tools.  Is that wishful thinking? I don’t know – but I’m willing to give it a go.

The top of the line cooktop is called the “Induction” and sells for $1,999 (30″), $2,199 (36″).

Yes, a little pricey – but look what it can do!

•Power Assist: Boils Water in 90 seconds.  (Seriously?! Do you know that one time I had to google how to boil an water? Now there’s a button?!)

•Keep Warm: Indefinitely hold food at the perfect serving temperature. (Ummm..this is a super big problem with my current moody oven!!!)
•Exceptional Temperature Control: Adjust heat with greater accuracy than gas or electric cooktops, especially at lower settings – perfect for melting chocolate and cooking delicate foods and sauces  (I make cakepops ALL THE TIME and have nothing but trouble melting chocolate.  Seriously, this could be life changing for me!!!)

Can you imagine me melting chocolate like this?? YES!!!

Can you imagine me melting chocolate like this?? YES!!!

The other models are a bit cheaper and don’t have all these fancy features, but look amazing.
The livestream of the Electrolux Cooktop will be on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 1p.m. EST on Food52.com.  The event will feature celebrity chefs (which I love) and you will have a chance to win one of these amazing cooktops!!!
This blog post is sponsored by Electrolux.  I have not been paid for this post, but do have a chance of winning one of these amazing cooktops – and I do plan on watching this livestream – so come join me for your chance to win too!!
