It’s no secret that I don’t like to cook. My husband likes to cook. And I love to eat.So it works out pretty well.
I just found out that one of our very favorite Central Florida chefs is coming out with a new cookbook! (And I think I’m going to have to get it for my husband for Christmas…shhhhh!)
The Southern Cowboy, is the first cookbook by Chef-Owner John Rivers of 4 Rivers Smokehouse and is set to hit shelves on November 1. The book features more than 80 recipes accompanied by personalized anecdotes.
I’m excited to see that his recipe for “Chocolate Awesomeness” made the book – because that dessert is NO JOKE. I’m also hoping there’s a recipe for his baked beans, because I could literally eat those things non-stop.
So not only do you have a chance to get this great book, but he’s also doing some book signing!
A signed copy of The Southern Cowboy will be available for $28.99 (plus tax) at cookbook signings beginning November 8 in North Florida and will conclude in Winter Garden on November 23. Books are available for pre-order and online order here. Each signing will feature a Thanksgiving carving and tasting station with 4 Rivers Smokehouse’s mail-order Smoked Turkey, which is also featured in the Thanksgiving chapter of The Southern Cowboy.
Meanwhile, I’m super excited for his East Orange County restaurant to open. I did a drive by to check the progress. Still dirt. Please, John, hurry this thing up. I need you closer to my home!
