It took us awhile to get moving after a crazy long day 1 in Washington, D.C.

This is a rare sight to me…but was much needed:

We went on what seemed like the longest trip ever. Started on the Metro train, was detoured to a Metro bus….and then had to walk forever, just to get to the car which we ditched the night before.  Then….off to another stop on the DC West Wing tour…the National Cathedral!

We crashed a wedding…

It was one of the most beautiful places ever.  I’m shocked how it’s just open to the public most days.  It’s absolutely beautiful and it was the perfect day to just explore.
