and today I did both.
Maybe I don’t HATE running. Hate is such a strong word.
Dislike.
Disdain.
Detest.
Well, hate works.
I’m still doing the “couch to 5K” training program.
This week’s training kicks it up a notch, and had me running for 5 minutes straight.
I’m not lying when I say, I don’t ever remember in my life running for 5 minutes without stopping.
But after 30 minutes on the treadmill, I looked down to see I had run over 2.2 miles. And for me, that’s a huge victory.
Now, I didn’t run the entire time. But I did run more than half of that time.
Asthma did kick in a bit towards the end and I had to watch it, but I’m pushing and pushing.
My goal has been to just finish the 5K. Now I’m almost thinking maybe I can try to finish the 5K in around 45 minutes.
In other news, I went to the dentist today.
Now that’s something I hate. And to my dentist friends, please don’t take this personally.
I’m just not sure why you would pick a profession where you have to put your hands in anyone’s mouth! NASTY!
Other than the x-rays, the dentist wasn’t that bad.
In fact, it was the best dental report card of my entire life. I would like to thank my $150 Oral-B toothbrush for the help.
