You know you work in television news when…

It dawned on me the other day that I’m not quite right in the head.  I blame the news business.  Then I got to thinking, maybe there are others like me?  Let me know and please add to the list!

You know you work in television news when:

  • You always have your cell phone at the ready to snap a breaking news photo.
  • You sit on an airplane or stand in line at a store or bank  and practice a phoner in the event of a hostage situation.
  • You look at an airplane and think, “I wonder if it’s going to explode or crash.”
  • You get excited meeting high-profile lawyers from previous news stories.
  • You feel intimidated by newspaper reporters.

if you don’t believe that Jen does this… please see her previous blog entry of when Patrick got a staple in his finger… “sit still Patrick… I want to take a photo… No, no… I won’t post it on Facebook.” As, of course, he is crying and freaking out about the blood…
