Day 2 of “official 5K training” is done.
It was one of those days that I wasn’t sure would work with exercise!
I worked late last night, early this morning and wanted to sleep instead of wake up early to go to the gym.
I brought my exercise gear to work thinking I would get out at lunch – what was I thinking?! That didn’t happen.
After work it was a t-ball game…and when we finally got home, it was dark.
But I took the boys and we went running in the dark.
It was my first time running outside. I found it easier than on the treadmill. Is that normal?
I felt I had to run a bit faster than I did inside because it was dark. There’s also a storm coming so there’s lots of lightning in the sky, freaking the kids out.
Am I a bad mom? It wasn’t close- but enough to make them want to go fast.
Either way, 20 minutes done and I live to tell the tale….
