It’s time to prep your DVR, chill the wine and warm up those fingers to tweet!!  Award show season kicks off on Wednesday!

• Wednesday, Jan. 8 – 8 p.m. People’s Choice Awards – CBS.
  I’m a big fan of this one.  I do like to vote every year.  Here’s a look at the nominees.
  But really, this awards show is just a warm up for Sunday’s main event…
• Sunday, Jan. 12 – 8 p.m. – Golden Globe Awards – NBC.
  It’s no secret that I’m a stalker fan of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.  They will be returning as hosts this year and next! It’s really the greatest gift anyone could ask for.  I can’t wait to see what they’ve been working on for this show.

  Also of note, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick’s daughter, Sosie Bacon, has been named Miss Golden Globe 2014 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The annual title is traditionally given to the daughter (or son) of a celebrity, and their responsibility is to assist in handing out the awards.

• Sunday, Jan. 26 – The Grammy Awards – CBS
  This is the one awards show that I watch, but have no idea who anyone is.  It’s the annual reminder of how old and out-of-touch I’m becoming.  My wish list includes an ‘N Sync reunion and a Bette Midler performance, just for fun.  Because that’s how I roll.
