Dog sitting for JoeStrong

You may or may not have been following the story of my friends, Amanda and Joe.  They blog over at Cocktails and Chemo about some really serious stuff.  But it’s funny, and sad and will make you really be thankful.  They are amazing people and I’m lucky to call them friends.

They recently had to take a very long trip to Houston for surgery.  A really intense surgery that meant over 40 days in the hospital for Joe.  So here in Orlando, I volunteered to dogsit.  I mean, I love their dog, Wrigley.  My kids love him, we’ve never had a dog, so thought, this could be fun!

Let me tell you, he’s the BEST DOG.  He’s funny, has such a personality and loved the boys.  He would get antsy around the time the bus would come.  He knew when they were supposed to be home and loved running to the bus to greet the boys.

He also had a bit of separation anxiety and didn’t like when we changed the routine.  That’s the point where he would attack the garage.  Or, on two separate occasions, the gingerbread houses that were waiting for decorations.

Here are just a few of the pictures from our dog-sitting adventures.  We miss you Wrigley

Wrigley loves his sticks. He will play for hours if he finds a perfect one!

Doggie Time Out

This is where he hid when he knew he was in trouble. Doggie Time Out!

Dog Shaming!

We couldn’t stop laughing.  He was only doing it out of love.  And we love him! Especially since we were able to brainwash him to be a Spartan fan!
