It’s one of our favorite family traditions, Light Up UCF!  For us, it kicks off the holiday season.  Yes, it’s a little early – but that’s fine by me!

Light Up UCF features ice skating, rides, and holiday attractions at the University of Central Florida outside the newly renamed CFE Arena (formerly UCF Arena).  The event runs until Sunday, January 5.

I always get an invite to the media preview night, which is why we always go.  It’s great to get my boys ice skating.  I grew up skating all winter long in the frozen ditches in our neighborhood.  And little known fact, I took an ice skating class in college at Michigan State! Yes, I’m a super nerd.

So I love to get on the ice and try not to hurt myself in my old age.

The event is also great because Santa is there, so we knock out the family Santa picture early in the season.

(Also bonus – I finally ran into Jackie from MomJovi at the event.  We ALWAYS miss each other!)
