Orlando City Soccer Club announced Tuesday that the team will play its home games at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort next season. This is exciting news for us Disney fans!
The reason for the temporary move is that renovations to the Lions’ home stadium, the Florida Citrus Bowl, will make it unavailable to the team next season.
And if you’re a soccer fan, you won’t want to pass up this chance to meet two of the fan favorites of the team!
Italio, a fast-casual Italian restaurant that will soon open its Ft. Lauderdale location, is hosting an Orlando Lions signing and complimentary entrée event on Saturday, November 9.
For the entire day, guests that wear Orlando Lions paraphernalia will receive one complimentary entrée. From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., fan favorite Lions players Jamie Watson and Dennis Chin will be onsite for the meet-and-greet and signing. A complimentary photograph will be given to guests for the players to sign during the event.
The Orlando Lions are part of Orlando City Soccer Club, a fully-integrated professional soccer organization that is aiming to be in Major League Soccer by 2015.
I’ve met Jamie previously at the Philips Phile Poker Tournament. He’s a great guy and will be a big star!!
