Adele in Chicago

“I promise I’m worthy…..”

It’s been a rough few months…

(Shootings in Orlando….gators killing a child at Disney World….an Orlando friend dying in a tragic mountain hiking accident.  All of this coming right after I turned 40 – which was already stress…)

…but vacation is the remedy.
And not just any vacation, a vacation scheduled around an ADELE concert.

Adele in my hometown of Chicago? Yes please.

And aside from the United Center having terrible crowd control and event management, the concert was perfection.

Her songs – everything you’d expect.

Her stories – funny, real, raw, emotional.

Her laugh – the highlight of my life.

The question was asked before the show started, “Jen…would you pay $5000 for VIP ticket??” I said no.

Once the show started, that answer quickly changed to YES.  100 TIMES YES.

A few tips to my friends going..
1. Be prepared to sing if you get pulled up on stage.
2. Bring your camera – take lots of pictures – she literally pauses for selfies…and wants you to record things- just don’t bring a tripod!!
3. Get some confetti!
4. No opening act – no intermission.  2+ hours of fun, laughs and tears.  Go to the bathroom before the show starts and don’t drink too much during! You don’t want to miss a thing!
