Sushi obsessed – Disney’s Polynesian Resort

My favorite place to eat at Walt Disney World has gotten even better.

It’s a small, tucked-away spot that most people glance over, but it’s a hidden gem of delicious goodness.

I’m talking about Kona Island at Disney’s Polynesian Resort.  To the untrained eye, it looks like a stand to get coffee and pastries.  And that it is.  But in the evening, it’s a great place to grab a chair, order some sushi and drinks and avoid the crowds.

My go to, Sticky Wings.  They glaze these wings in the most delicious sauce.  It’s tangy and delicious and I’ve never had anything like them.  The wings are drizzled with mustard and topped with toasted sesame seeds.  One order of wings, $9.99 and totally worth it!

Recently, they added some items to their sushi menu.  Previously, the items have been good, but there was nothing that really stood out.  Until now.

Let me tell you about my new obsession, the Crab Rangoon Roll.  Crab Salad is rolled in the seaweed wrap, then tempura fried and topped with fried won tons and eel sauce.  There are no words to describe how perfect this roll is.  The textures and flavors really clicked.  My idea was to share these with my children.  But I did not.  This roll is $10.99.

  1. We just got back fro Disney and decided to go to the Polynesian. I have to agree 100% about the Crab Rangoon Roll, it is ridiculously good. I hope I can find someone who makes these were I live. 🙂
