Marco Island Trip Report: Day 2 & 3

Marco Island is a beautiful place with so much to see and do.  But we always have a problem leaving the house. We are just so comfortable, and there’s so much to do here, actually getting dressed seems like such a chore.

We’ve been doing a lot of fishing, dodging rain storms and lounging near the pool.  We also rented a kayak for the week and have been taking it around the canal.  It’s pretty awesome.  I hope to be brave enough to take my camera on the kayak next time to get some photos.

Scott’s thumb is much better from his catfish bite.  I’m barely in the lead in our fishing competition at 10.  I also caught 2 crabs! I’m also paying my children to bait my hook for me.  Of course, we are taking daily visits to see the owls next door.  Soon, we’ll even go visit the giant turtles that live on the island.

Today we made it to the beach and then stopped by our favorite restaurant to enjoy our favorite mini-tacos.  The boys went fishing and my son caught a shark!

Vacation is pretty awesome.
