Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster

I was recently invited to a blogger event at Christner’s Prime Steak and Lobster in Orlando, formally known as Del Frisco’s.  Truth be told, it’s my first blogger event in awhile where I went solo. Normally, my true introvert shines through and I end up not going.  But I have vowed to change that in 2014 and started off great with a great event!

I have never been to this place when it was Del Frisco’s.  Really for no other reason then I’m not about to take my kids to a fancy restaurant.  Plus, the restaurant isn’t too far from us, but it’s just outside the normal area of Winter Park that we always go to when we ditch our children.  But I’m excited to now find a new place to take my husband on a great date night!

Despite the name change, the same family owns the restaurant.  It was great talking to owner Alice Christner.  You could just see the passion her family has for this restaurant.  I also appreciated her stories of owning a restaurant while also running a family.

We started with drinks from the Winter Park Distilling Company. I opted for the Manhattan.  The other option was the Moscow Mule made with vodka and ginger beer.
Delicious!

This is about the time I was happy to find some fellow friends who also happen to be bloggers and was so happy that I made it to this event so we could catch up!

Next up the food!  The crab cake was one of the best I’ve ever had.  Period.  It was so full of crab and just delicious.  I’m also always a fan of spinach dip, and this one didn’t disappoint.

The music and entertainment around the restaurant was also pretty cool.  It was like stepping back into the Rat Pack era.  The details around the place are just beautiful and they really do know how to offer some amazing service.

Christner's Piano

The piano guy ties together the whole steak house theme. It’s pretty awesome!

Now, I just need to learn more about different cuts of steak.  I’m not an expert in that area at all.  This is definitely a place that my parents will love, so I can’t wait to bring them!
