Jewish Thanksgiving

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!  We had a very busy, but very blessed holiday weekend.

As I’m sure you’ve seen, Thanksgiving overlapped with the first day of Hanukkah this year.  Unless you’re Jewish, you probably don’t care.  And since my family is Lutheran, you wouldn’t think we would care.

But growing up in a very Jewish suburb of Chicago, I always felt part Jewish.  I think I’ve always wanted to really be Jewish.  Apparently, so does my mother.  This year she decided to host a Jewish Thanksgiving.  She was tired of turkey, so instead, made brisket.  Instead of stuffing, we had kugel.  After dinner, I thought the boys how to play dreidel.  Let me just say, they were excellent at it.
