Eating Greek

You should know by now how much I love food.  I’ve been trying to eat healthier which is sometimes easier said then done.

I was offered a chance to take part in a HEALTHY GREEK EATS RECIPE CHALLENGE sponsored by Healthy Greek Eats.  They supplied me hummus, greek yogurt and tzatziki along with some recipe cards to do a taste test of our own.

We never got to really make anything with the hummus, because, well, we ate it too quick.  My kids love hummus and it was gone pretty quick.  So fast and so good in fact, that I forgot to take pictures.

Since I’m only really a “cook” in last name only, I handed the project over to the mister who took over the kitchen.

We had tzatziki on some chicken and it was good.  It’s not my favorite flavor in general – but this was really pretty good.  It tasted refreshing.

My husband is also a big fan of smoothies and decided to put the greek yogurt to the test.

All in all, the products were great!

You can find Healthy Greek Eats at the following Central Florida locations:

  • THE MEAT HOUSE | 669 ORANGE AVENUE | WINTER PARK
  • CASSELBERRY FARMER’S MARKET | 95 TRIPLET LAKE DRIVE | CASSELBERRY

My ONLY complaint about the products is that they don’t last too long in the fridge.  They have a shelf life of about 5 days.  This really is a good thing as there are no preservatives in these products.  And I really wish I can get to a point where that is my focus in life.  But for us, it was hard to use all of the product before it went back because we are just not home that much.  But this is a great local product that I will be buying more of for the family!
